TUNING UP THE INDEX

When we first met the Angels back in 2024, we thought they must be our own private ‘version’ of the patterns we had learned about through novel schools of thought like the I’Ching. This first impression mattered: in the same way that a doorway is significant when exiting a room. Our early work swung that new door wide open: both permitting fresh perspective + releasing stale ideas from the room. This action helped to elevate our notion of the Angels from ideas we could study to intelligent companions we could meet. This first leap was enormous, and sustained the growth you’ve witnessed (from the website to the Sessions to The Liberated Tarot) ever since. And yet the leap that followed was perhaps an even greater one: we recognized that we could leave the room. The words we chose two years ago to represent our Angels were appropriate + beautiful + clean. But many of those words emerged from academic study - they were remnants of the relics in the room. By contrast, our relationship with Angels was alive - and growing quickly! It was fresh air from the source. We left the room.
A favorite example is the story of our Angel 36. Traditionally: Darkening of the Light (I’Ching); Turbulence (Gene Keys); or Crisis (Human Design). We sought to offer context with the words that we selected early on: The Angel of Transformation walks the Pathway of Experience to become the Embodiment of Gentleness. But when this Angel spoke, the story changed. It said: I Am the Angel of Gentleness. I walk the Pathway of Experience to become the Embodiment of Safety. And just like that all vestiges of difficulty lifted + resolved. This Angel was not ‘challenge for the sake of transformation’. It was: Safety Guaranteed No-Matter-What.
