THE SWORD OF LIGHT

This is where it all began for me: the image of the Justice card from my most valued deck by True Black Tarot (see below). The figure faced me every day for just shy of a year before I saw it: this was a depiction of the Seer. This was an evocative reflection of myself - a call to action, personal endorsement - all at once. A Seer, like the archetype, must exercise the art of true discernment: a very conscious act of validating only that which vibrates at the frequency of Truth, discarding all that doesn’t measure up. To wield the Sword of Light is to relentlessly negate all lesser views. The Seer turns completely toward the Light: becoming blind to all that stands in seeming opposition to the Truth. In doing so, the Seer circumvents the surface level of effects to tap the underlying Source of all that is: the causal layer. Such absolute commitment to the Light provides an avenue through which more Light can flow. The Seer becomes radiant: a Sun. (When we decide to orient toward Beauty, we become more beautiful ourselves.)
It’s possible to train up our awareness of the absolute Perfection in all things. It’s possible to gaze into the depths of human hardship + see Love; to hear the song of Harmony reliable as ever through the noise. We use the Sword of Light on our own thinking, our imagination, our own mind. This is what it means to pierce the veil: to recognize the temporary action of events + sense the Good alive within all things. This requires training + conviction, practice, time; a purposeful development of courage, sensitivity, resolve; the willingness to grow a Spine of Grace.
Seer Training is an opportunity to consciously replace misunderstanding with the Truth that Life is absolutely Good + only good; that Goodness is the only Living Power that exists; that Goodness is a power we can use.
