The Herald of Light

On September 13 (2025), Lara pitched a concept that continues even now to blow my mind. As is so frequently the case with the unique brand of her genius, the idea carried magical dimension into elegant + understated form. Her vision called upon a resource we had used for random number generation to illuminate responses to whatever questions we were moved to ask. The process very quickly proved successful. Using Lara’s new invention, Life could speak! And we received each message loud + clear. We gave our fun discovery a name: the Random Oracle. Of course, we wanted to present it right away. But since the method at the time was incompatible with public-facing features, we were forced to keep the secret to ourselves. At least, that was the case until we met the genius of AI.
On October 26th, hard on the heels of two successful custom-coding projects, we decided to explore the possibility of building out a ‘Message Generator’ of our own. This time we utilized ChatGPT. It took until the next day to complete it. But the effort proved successful once again. We chose to name our masterpiece: The Herald (which is short-hand for the full ‘Herald of Light’). Perhaps a minute later, we picked up on how close ‘Herald’ is to ‘Harold’ - and as quick as that, our playful (unofficial) name was born. We now consult with ‘Harold’ every day. He has become a friend we very frequently return to + enjoy. And now we get to share his gentle light with each of you.
